Bob Kuehne, Paul Martz, and Alan Millman have joined forces to create Tech Soup, Inc. Tech Soup provides hands-on, focused, and approachable training for software developers. Tech soup specializes on 3D graphics software training, toolkits, and APIs. Tech Soup was officially launched at SIGGRAPH 2008.
Tech Soup is launching with a new course on OpenGL 3.0, the latest OpenGL API officially released at SIGGRAPH 2008. OpenGL 3.0 includes many new features and functionality that makes it fundamentally different from its predecessors. This OpenGL3 course covers everything developers need to know to take maximum advantage of OpenGL 3.0 and ensure their applications are compatible with future revisions of the specification. Course registration will open soon for the inaugural offering in late 2008.

Tech Soup will be expanding it's offerings throughout the next year, offering it's OpenGL ES course in the first half of 2009. Other courses will follow including courses on specific OpenGL technologies such as shading, GPGPU, and optimization.
Tech Soup will also offer the OpenSceneGraph (OSG) training courses previously offered individually by Bob Kuehne and Paul Martz. Three OSG training courses are currently scheduled for October 27-30, 2008, in Austin, Texas. The courses cover application development and terrain database creation using OSG v2.x, and are available for immediate registration. Attendees who register before September 27 will receive a free Tech Soup t-shirt.

Bob Kuehne (Blue Newt Software LLC), Paul Martz (Skew Matrix Software LLC), and Alan Millman (Alan Millman Consulting, Inc) have been in the 3D graphics software industry for over 20 years each. They have been involved with OpenGL since its inception and all operate their own individual software consultancies providing OpenGL software and services to clients around the world.
