Tech Soup, Inc. will offer courses on OpenGL3 beginning Q4 2008. Tech Soup provides graphics training for software developers in hands-on, tightly-focused, multi-day courses. Tech Soup is initially offering OpenGL3 training classes and has a full roster of new OpenGL-related courses planned for 2009.
Tech Soup's initial OpenGL3 course will cover all aspects of the newly-released OpenGL3. OpenGL topics will include VBOs, PBOs, and FBOs, GLSL, new features in OpenGL3, ARB and vendor extensions, platform specifics, and information on debugging and profiling tools. Attendees will learn these topics through a combination of lecture and programming labs.

Tech Soup, Inc., was founded by Bob Kuehne (president of Blue Newt Software LLC and author of OpenGL Programming on Mac OSX and OpenSceneGraph Reference Manual), Paul Martz (OpenGL ARB member and author of OpenGL Distilled and OpenSceneGraph Quick Start Guide), and Alan Millman (president of Alan Millman Consulting, Inc., which specializes in programming for interactive medical simulations, animation, and virtual reality).
